Has US been fomenting Unrest in Iran, Jeremy R. Hammond

Talk Nation Radio for July 1, 2009
Has the US been fomenting unrest in Iran?

An interview with editor Jeremy R. Hammond of Foreign Policy Journal
Jeremy R. Hammond's June 23rd story: "Has the U.S. Played a Role in Fomenting Unrest During Iran’s Election?" It offers a kind of history of US propaganda and covert operations aimed at regime change in Iran with references to other operations of the NED in various countries.

Under Bush, the US spend millions on winning hearts and minds in the MidEast and also at home as administration policies became more and more unpopular.
During the run up to the Iraq war Jeremy R. Hammond criticized US media coverage about Iraq, and Bush administration arguments about weapons of mass destruction. In this story he criticized both Bush administration policy and Obama administration policy where it appears to be continuing unchanged. The US has been supporting the opposition through coverage on Voice of America and VOA's Radio Farda.

We hear an overview on propaganda in Iran and at home, funded by the US State Dept. and AID. Other topics include the twitter phenomenon, use of anonymous sources, the CIA in Iran, US support for militant organizations operating in Iran, Bush policy on Iran seems to be continuing under President Obama.
